First snow and sledding

Our snow arrived late this winter. Our first snow was November 15th. The kids have been playing in it everyday since! They sled after school everyday.

Olympia Bonfire 2012

Our Olympia Bonfire was November 10th, 2012. It was lots of fun again. This is a community wide event with everyone contributing.  Dead trees are gathered from our forest within our compound over several Saturdays and then the bonfire is constructed by hand.  All the residents' university logos are painted on the outhouse.

Phuket, Thailand

We loved our 8 days in Phuket, Thailand. We stayed in a boutique hotel converted from a prince's residence. Kata Beach was not busy and had great snorkeling just steps out from our hotel. We scattered corn kernals and the fish would swarm around us in the clear water. We enjoyed several excursions during the week.
