Italy in May

We traveled to Italy in May.  Bryan had a few days of conference in Florence, so we tagged along and made a big vacation out of it.  We visited my friend Tamara in Pisa and also explored Lucca, Cinque Terra, Milan, Lake Como, Venice and Florence.  We had a wonderful 2 weeks of seeing amazing places and eating delicious food and gelato.

We enjoyed our trip home to Houston in April.  It is always super busy trying to squeeze everything in!  Alyssa was the bell ringer in Chelsey's wedding.

Maslenitsa

Maslenitsa is the Russian celebration of the beginning of Spring, March 17th.  They eat blini (thin pancakes) everyday for a week to symbolize the sun.  The snow maiden doll is burned to signify the end of winter, yikes!  They have a big celebration with folk singers, dancers and games.

Alyssa's 8th Birthday

Alyssa turned 8 in March!!  We celebrated with a Spa Party.

 

 

 The new mountain bike has to wait for the 6 feet of snow to melt....
